Site Update

Had a bit of a change around with the Blog moving away from a personal gaming site to an attempt at trying to get an online business up and running.

So hence why the change to Greywolf Games. why this name its been my handle/nick/ident online for a number of years on some forum boards I am simply GreyWolf or in some cases Lord Greywolf. I have been doing gaming well table top gaming since I was 14, [basically the last 22 years]

I have played WH40k [3rd edition, 4th edition then STOPPED], WHFB played that for a bit longer but also dropped it due to the cost. Flames of War got me hooked played that [Germans mainly was planning on getting into a Soviet list but the $$$ or lack of it got it derailed] on top of those i’ve dabbled in Blood Bowl, Epic 40k, Magic the Gathering, Warmaster, DBA, DBAWWII, Space hulk, Death Squads [WH40k fan based skirmish game], and recently Warmachine, Micro-Fow [Flames of war using 6mm figs],  and maybe soon Dystopian wars and Puppet wars….

I have a number of contacts with in the game industry and can order in a large selection of goodies to tempt you. Over the coming months I will be trying to save up $$ to buy stock and set up an online shop.

But for now its going to be “customer orders” only. The supplier I mainly deal with is good he has decent amounts of stock and if he is out of stock he tries to replenish as soon as the manufacturers allow. Postage isn’t horrendous from him and he usually sends it to me with in a week and half or 2 weeks max from time of order to my door.

So if your after Warmachine/Hordes, Dust tactics, Puppet wars, Battle field accessories, uncharted seas, Firestorm armada, and Dysytopian wars plus plenty more then let me know and see what I can do for you.

Cheers
Greywolf

TUTATIS A Game from Greebo!!!! Part II

here are some more concept drawings:
I love the Goblin type dude with wings he rocks. The other two are cool... but I want the middle guy.

The Bottom Middle guy is a Hero for the Orc team [eg the Napoleonic hat Goblin on a squig type mount] not sure what team the rest are from.

If they can do a team a month [27 teams in total] then you'd be still waiting for the full roster by January 2014
also add in 50 mercs that can be hired as well seems they got the bases covered, with range of models. Just need to see if the rules stack up or if they have holes you could drive a Imperial Star cruiser through...
Concept art work for the lizards.

Not to bad I do like the big guy....
I am looking at this as an alternative for the kids as the scale is 10mm, the field is smaller 11x16 30mm squares.
the Rules are only 15pages long so I don't think you would need to be a rocket scientist to pick and play with.
I'll know more once I get my copy of the rules, and how they play.
As for the cost if you buy from Greebo they are $24.99EUR [$31.00AUD] for a 11 man Orc team and that includes one big guy [30mm from toes to eyes.] same cost are the Dwarfs, the Evil plushies are $15.99EUR [$19.80AUD] for 9 man team.
With the Poffy out soon and it looks like Lizards are next after them they are adding alot of flavour.
Not sure how the teams will work in a season or campaign and what diversity is available its hard when they only just got it translated and we are waiting on it to be printed now.

Well here is even more stuff:

Scale:
Dwarf:

Dwarf Big guy

Evil puppets/plushies Concept drawings:

Necro Team:

The teams: Evil Puppets/Necro/Dwarfs/Orcs

Pitch and Team set up:

The momentum for this game is starting to gather I have had a lot of interest from the Guys at Ausbowl and City Guard and for me I can’t wait till its released in English.
Will post more details, pics and any other info I can regarding this game.

Cheers

TUTATIS A game from Greebo.

One of the guys off the Ausbowl site showed us this new and interesting game from Greebo here is a quote from them regarding it:

This is a Gaelic Football sport. I mean that rules are from Gaelic football, but story and background is more fun and interesting. Manual is 164 pages, but only 15 are rules, other are story about all realms and relative races 15 simple pages in A5 format, really easy, newbie can learn all in 20 minutes and at the end of this time can teach to other! Only 2d6 , not special dices, no rulers.
Field 11x16 all in scale 10mm, so very very portable and no expansive costs.
7 vs 7 in field, you can pass only forward or lateral (like in Gaelic football), you have to use your race to make a goal inside a Gaelic door where goalkeeper can ward. Only 7 player, so all move will be very strategic. All races have 3 different team leader whit great special skill. One example:
Tactician Goblin This leader can move 3d3, have a skill called "Voracious" and can try to eat one player ( not remove from game, only in stomach and every turn try to escape, can eat one per time.) Also if tactician receive or go on ball, he eat it! So restart whit new kick start! Now i cant explain in specify all rules about this creature, but it is very tactician, because if you are in vantage you can try to eat ball and end first time early!
Every Leader have special skills, and they can change sort of battle in field!
Classic date for creature, Movement, Strength , Agility, Constitution, Play Ball ( new stat used to pass, kick, pick up and all thing about ball), player can do tackles, similar to BB, but dont have special dices, lucky is reduced by new system Do not be fooled, can remember fantasy football, but its different. Yena, European champion of BB, have play a Demo and lost in 6 turns because think that play like BB.
All game is think to play fast game in 20 / 40 minutes for people that have to work, family, wife or girlfriend, or simple no time. Also in this scale you can play in very small spice, all portable but still detailed!
Every month we product new team, we have a forum dedicate to this new game where people can vote about new team download updated pdf about roster, talk about new rules and propose, fix and bug,
Also we add mercenary that team can buy , 50 in total for all.
http://www.greebo.it/forum/viewforum.php?f=39
Here you can find races available pictures

This game looks really interesting. It plays on a smaller pitch then Bloodbowl and it uses only 2d6 to determine the out come of skills, passing etc.

in the same email they mentioned that they are alot closer to getting the English version of the box ready and will post a review of it once I get my copy for now here are some pics of what minis look like. Remember they are 10mm in scale and use 20mm bases even the big guys are on 20mm bases.

Orcs

Dwarfs

and the next race to come out the POFFY:

over all with 27 races [basically 1 race per month] and a smaller table and time requirements this game is certainly got my interest. Will keep you posted one what I learn and how it plays.

OUR NEW HOBBY: WARMACHINE PART II

Stage Two:

Undercoating:
With my wife’s Cryx she wanted a black undercoat. I tried to get a matt finish but ended up with satin. If it gets to be a issue I'll get a de-shine agent and give them a coat.
With mine I usually coat them either white or black. this time I am trying out the a base coat of the main colour. Which for me is Blue.

In this pic you may or may not see I have given the Squire, 1x gun mage and eHaley an ink bath. The blue was ummm well to bright for my liking....
I have given all the figs an ink wash and decided to start on the gun mages first then will go onto the jacks. My Wife has started to paint the Necro Surgen will post pics once she and I are ready for you to see.

Just another quick update beenreally busy with work, and other xmas related stuff will put more stuff later.

OUR NEW HOBBY: WARMACHINE

Finally got the last of the Warmachine we had ordered. Cygnar for me and Crryx for my Wife.
The Following has replaced the pDenny stuff I originally bought. [NB: The Harrower was missing a shoulderpad waiting on the spare part to arrive. The last big Cryx warjack I had was the Leviathan and that had a leg missing... 2 Cryx warjacks with missing parts.... don't they like Cryx?]

Wife’s Cryx:
1x Harrower
1x pSkarre
3x Brute Thrall
1x Necrosurgen & Stitch thralls
1x Gorman Di Wolfe
1x Madelyn Corbeau
1x Warwitch Siren
1x Satyxis Raider Captain
1x Satyxis Raider Sea Witch
1x Satyxis Raiders [6]
Not pictured: From 1st order.
12x Mcthralls
1x Skarlock thrall
1x Nightwrench

My Cygnar:
1x pack of protective sleeves.
2x Sentinel Light war jack
1x Charger Light war jack
1x Defender Heavy War jack
1x eHaley
1x eStryker
1x The Black 13
1x Journeyman warcaster [Alt fig]
1x Stormblade UA [Officer and Standard bearer]
1x Anastasia Di Bray [not sure if I'll use her now]
Not pictured: From 1st order.
1x Arcane Gun mage Unit [6]
1x Arcane Gun mage UA
1x Lancer
1x Squire
1x Stormblade Unit [6]
3x Stormblade Storm Gunner

My Wife has never taken in an interest in my games [well she did try out magic the gathering and Vampire Masquerade but she didn't "get into it"]
Warmachines is truely the first system she has dived into with not only choosing the faction, units, solos, and warcaster but she has chosen the paint scheme and will try her hand at painting the army as well...

Stage One:
Gluing:
She had alot of fun [more like curses] when she glued her Cryx up. The Brute thralls were a bit tricky with their hoses/pipes coming off their backs.
Below is Lady Grey's 15pts [minus the Harrower which she needs the missing shoulder pad]

My frustrations were mainly around the Stormblades, in particular the one holding his weapon over his head. Big fingers+fiddly parts=$!#^%$^#^%!.... also having the Journeymans sword break off added more %$^!@^%#!!! to my growing list. I was able to re-glue the sword back on but its not the same....
My 15pts plus some extra stuff I wanted to get painted. [15pts = pHaley, AGM[6], 2x Sentinels, 1x Lancer <---- though I may change this by swapping out one of the Sentinels for a Charger]

Well that is for now will post about the Next stage soon….

New Sites: Puppetwars

One of the guys from the Death Squads Forum board mentioned this great site Puppetswar for some conversion bitz he was looking at and what did I find on this site…. well these guys:

Plague bears
They come with with 3 different bodies and 6 various heads to make them unique. I am planning on using them as my Nurgle warriors for my Blood Bowl team. They will join the ranks of the “Plague Dolls”.

Once the figs arrive I’ll post pics of them and a size comparison. One thing I’ll mention the p&p to New Zealand was DAM cheap. I shell be buying from them again and again…[I want some of their conversion bitz, those gas masked heads look great. Awesome for Nurgle Imperial Renegades]

I’ll be attending the Greenstone Cup [Blood Bowl] tournament in November [12th/13th, in Auckland] Haven’t had a game in along time so it will be a steep learning curce and I am certain to take out the Wood spoon award [eg last place] But it will be loads of fun and certainly the highlight of 2011 for me.

Thats all for now happy gaming, be good and if you can’t be PURE EVIL !!!!!

one more thing here are the rest of the gang for the new “Plague Dolls” team:
